My Art World To Showcase Exhibition `2 X 2 Feet' On Apr, 1

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2017 ) : My Art World will showcase a day-long group exhibition `2 X 2 feet' of a group of famous artist here on Saturday. The collection on display will have all works sized at 2 X 2 feet as the common element that binds the work together.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will host the exhibition which aim to support art and promote and protect freedom of expression. The curator, Zara Sajid's, aim is to allow the artist to explore a concept that he or she feels passionate about these days.

Inspiration can either come from the artist's surroundings or the artist him/herself. A total of twenty seven artists are selected for the show from all over Pakistan and given a four month period to work on two pieces in the medium of their preference.

Together, these fifty four pieces on display form a narrative; once they share the same alternate display space as opposed to a gallery or museum setting & are similar in size. Works by Ahsen Asif, Ahmer Farooq, Amber Arifeen, Ammama Malik, Amra Khan, Arsalan Naqvi, Ayesha Khan, Emaan Mahmud, Ghaffar Jatoi, Fatima Nadeem, Hussain Jamil, Maryam Baniasadi, Mahjabeen Atif, Mohsin Shaikh, Romessa Khan, Saamiya Razi, Sana Dar,Saqiba Suleman, Sara Aslam Noorani, Shaista Momin, Shiblee Munir, Sidra Asim,Taha Khan, Tehmina Rashid, Wasif Afridi, Zahra Asim & Zoya Manan will be on display.
