According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in NA-174 Bahawalpur-V constituency with 63884 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Sardar Muhammad Jaffar Khan Leghari was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 101705 votes. The second runner up was Independent candidate Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak who got 61863 votes.

At least 16 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in NA-174. In 2013 elections, there were 369102 voters registered in NA-174, out of which 219916 votes were polled out.
