Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Junaid Akbar has won NA-8 with 81310 votes.

Malakand Protected Area (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Junaid Akbar has won NA-8 with 81310 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in NA-8 Malakand Protected Area constituency with 81310 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Qaumi Watan Party (Sherpao) candidate Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 37044 votes. The second runner up was Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (F) candidate Musammir Shah who got 33836 votes.

At least 14 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in NA-8. In 2013 elections, there were 327423 voters registered in NA-8, out of which 143540 votes were polled out.

In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 43.63 %. Detailed results can be found here
