NA Pays Tribute To Late Minister Ali Muhammad Mahar

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2019 ) :The National Assembly on Friday passed a unanimous resolution to condole the death of late lawmaker and Minister for Narcotics Sardar Ali Muhammad Mahar.
In a resolution tabled by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan, the House paid rich tributes to the late MNA for upholding democratic and parliamentary norms. The assembly also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
The parliamentarians lauded contributions of Ali Muhammad Mahar for strengthening democracy in the country. It is to mention that Ali Muhammad Mahar died due to heart attack at the age of 52 years at his village Khangarh (Sindh).
As many as five lawmakers spoke on the resolution including Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar (PTI), Raja Pervaiz Ashraf (PPPP), Khawaja Muhammad Asif (PML-N), Muhammad Farooq Azam Malik (PTI) and Moulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali (MMAP).
While paying tribute to Ali Muhammad Mahar, Chief Whip Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar said that deceased lawmaker was a very decent and gentle person. He said that Ali Muhammad Mahar also remained Chief Minister of Sindh in 2002 to 2004 and Member National Assembly for three times. Mahar's services would be remembered forever, he added.
Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said the deceased MNA was a sincere and decent politician and he on behalf of his party expressed sorrow over the sad demise.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif lauded the political services of the deceased MNA and said that he was very hospitable person. He prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
Muhammad Farooq Azam Malik and Moulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali also lauded the services of late MNA and prayed Almighty Allah to grant courage to his family members to bear this loss with patience.
NA Speaker Asad Qaisar presided the entire sitting which continued for 21 minutes. He also announced Members of Panel of Chairpersons for the session (10th Session) that convened on Friday. The members included Syed Fakhar Imam, Munaza Hassan, Khurram Dastgir, Syed Khursheed Shah, Moulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and Amir Haider Azam Khan.
The House also offered Fateha for late MNA Ali Muhammad Mahar and ten-year old Farishta who was murdered in Islamabad a couple of days before.
The House did not take up agenda on `Orders of the Day' including two Calling Attention Notices, a motion of thanks, a motion under Rule 244 (B).
Later, the Speaker adjourned the House to meet again on May 27 (Monday) at 1400 hours.
