MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2018 ) :PPP Secretary Information South Punjab Shoukat Basra Wednesday said the killing of Naqeeb and Intizar by police were a test case for the Sindh government.
The provincial government would surely punish the murderers in the two cases, he said while addressing a press conference here at the press club.. Basra said the killers of Zainab and Asma should also brought to justice.
He stressed the need for police reforms. Regarding alliance of opposition parties on the Model Town incident, Shoukat Basra said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was supporting Dr Tahirul Qadri but the opposition alliance had broken due to negative politics of Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf chief Imran Khan, who was fond of making a solo-flight.
Basra claimed that the PPP would emerge as a big party in Senate elections. Superior courts could be approached against alleged horse-trading in Balochistan, he added. He said the PPP during its government had given Balochistan its share in the National Finance Commission award, besides initiating Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan package.
Basra claimed that many politicians from different parties would join the PPP after Senate elections. The PPP leader said his party would make south Punjab as a separate province. He called for resolving problems of sugarcane growers. Local PPP representatives were also present at the press conference.
