National Bank Of Pakistan Chooses Dell EMC As Enterprise Backup Solution Provider

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), EMC and Megaplus Pakistan signed an agreement to partner for launching enterprise backup solution project. Hence, NBP will implement Dell EMC's Enterprise Backup Solution for protection of its critical information assets.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Oct, 2018 ) :The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), EMC and Megaplus Pakistan signed an agreement to partner for launching enterprise backup solution project. Hence, NBP will implement Dell EMC's Enterprise Backup Solution for protection of its critical information assets.
The agreement was inked at a ceremony here at NBP Head Office. President of NBP Tariq Jamali, NBP's IT Group Chief Shahid Saeed, CEO Megaplus Asim Bokhari and Naveed Siraj also attended the event, said a NBP statement on Monday.
NBP's SEVP and IT Group Head Shahid Saeed said the bank was making hefty investment in IT to fully adopt IT-based banking as it was playing a unique role in the financial inclusion of the unbanked people.
The bank also aimed at improving the quality of services to customers through investing in human resource and technology capacity building.
He said the data protection was one of the top priorities of the bank with a stern emphasis to strengthen the protection of its customer's data and ensuring data protection compliance regulations were met. Hence, implementation of an enterprise backup and recovery solution was of utmost priorityfor NBP ITG.
