Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz’s Names Put On ECL

Fawad Chaudhry says Avenfield properties are subject to ownership of the people of Pakistan.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th August, 2018) Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that the Names of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have been put on the Exit Control List (ECL).
In his first press conference as Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that the federal cabinet has put Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz’s names in the ECL.
The cabinet also directed the law and interior ministries to implement red warrants against Nawaz's sons, Hassan and Hussain, and former finance minister Ishaq Dar and bring them back to Pakistan, the information minister said.
The law ministry has also been directed to contact the British government over the Avenfield properties, he added.
"Law and interior ministries have been directed to make arrangements to bring Hassan and Hussein and Ishaq Dar and present them before the court. The British institution be contacted if needed," he said.
"Avenfield properties are subject to ownership of the people of Pakistan. A task force led by Shehzad Akbar has been established to recover all illegal assets stashed abroad," the minister added.
