The Punjab Health Secretary has sought details from Jinnah Hospital’s medical board over Nawaz Sharif’s treatment.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd February, 2019) Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has refused to undergo angiography at government hospitals.
Media reports said that the former prime minister refused to undergo angiography at all government hospitals, including Jinnah Hospital, where he is currently admitted.
The Punjab Health Secretary has sought details from Jinnah Hospital’s medical board over Nawaz Sharif’s treatment.
Hospital sources said that they will submit a report to the higher authorities regarding Nawaz Sharif’s treatment.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has denied such reports.
She said that the government’s delay in giving permission for Nawaz Sharif’s angiography is criminal.
“Nawaz Sharif is ready to undergo angiography. There is no truth in these reports,” she said while holding the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan responsible for putting Nawaz’s life in danger.
Moreover, Dr Adnan, the personal physician of Nawaz Sharif, had held the government responsible for the delay in angiography of the deposed prime minister.
He said that the PML-N leader had never denied from undergoing an angiography.
On Jan 22, Sharif was brought to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) from Kot Lakhpat jail for a medical examination amid tight security. Later he was shifted to Services Hospital and then Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
The medical board had suggested angiography for Nawaz Sharif.
