Naya Pakistan Housing Project Launched In Muzaffarabad

Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Ali Ameen Gandapur Monday launched 'Naya Pakistan Housing project' here under which low cost houses will be built for common masses.

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Ali Ameen Gandapur Monday launched 'Naya Pakistan Housing project' here under which low cost houses will be built for common masses.

Ali Ameen inaugurated the project with ribbon cutting ceremony held here at Municipal corporation Hall which was attended by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) member legislative Assembly Abdul Majid Khan, party leader and former Minister Khawaja Farooq, Secretary Housing AJK Idrees Abbasi and other officials.

Addressing the function, Ali Ameen said the project will not only make available cheapest houses to poor class on easy installments but will also create thousands of employment opportunities in the region besides boosting economic activities.

He said Kashmir was included in the priorities of PTI's government which was evident from the fact that AJK and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) had been included in the first phase of the Housing program and cooperation will be extended to the government of AJK for the well being of masses.

"We will strengthen the relationship with people of Jammu and Kashmir and GB in-accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan," Gandapur remarked assuring the region's government to provide all available resources without shrinking its budget.

He also assured the local authorities to complete all ongoing projects of AJK including a proposed expressway from Mansehra - Muzaffarabad to Mirpur under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said the government had a solid plan for the development of this region.

He said all reservations of Azad Jammu and Kashmir regarding Neelum-Jhelum power project (NJHP) will be addressed at federal level with the consensus of AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan however he added that later would also had to extend his cooperation with federal government.

While condemning Indian atrocities in held Kashmir, the Minister said India was failed to suppress just movement of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their right to self determination despite using brute force. He demanded the United Nations to take a cognizance of the brutalities being committed by occupant forces.

He said PTI's government stance over Kashmir was very clear from day first when Imran Khan reiterated his firm support with the liberation movement in his first speech to the nation and foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureishi had forcefully raised the voice of the Kashmiri people at UN forum.

Later, talking to media persons, he condemned the remarks passed by Punjab information Minister Fiaz-ul- Hassan Chohan during a media talk a couple of days earlier and said the remarks were his personal words and not party policy which he already had condemned.

Chohan in his media talk had repeatedly used word Kashmiri with the Names of Sharif familymembers in a derogatory manner which were strongly criticized on social media.
