Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme: NADRA Website Gets 10,000 Hits In One Second

62,000 forms were downloaded from the website in first hour.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th October, 2018) The registration for Prime Minister’s Naya Pakistan Housing scheme is in full swing as the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) website got 10,000 hits in one second while 62,000 forms were downloaded one hour after they were uploaded.

According to NADRA spokesperson, the website was temporarily crashed as it got 10,000 hits in one second while 62,000 forms were downloaded from the website in first hour.

The NADRA website had crashed due to high traffic, the spokesperson said, adding that it has been restored now.

The registration form was uploaded on NADRA website after Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the 5 million housing project on Wednesday.

In the first phase of the project Sukkur, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Swat, Islamabad and Faisalabad districts will be facilitated.

The forms can be submitted from October 22 to December 21 along with Rs250 registration fee at the selected district offices.

Details regarding registration procedure and fee are also mentioned in the website but it crashed last night because of high traffic.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday launched PTI's ambitious flagship "Naya Pakistan Housing Authority" (NPHA) project aimed at building five million low-cost houses across the country, fulfilling one of the "cornerstones" of his party's election manifesto.

Addressing the launching ceremony here at the PM Office, the Prime Minister announced that the government would provide the land, facilitate and remove bottlenecks and work under public-private partnership to construct housing units with all basic amenities.

Vowing to personally supervise the project he announced setting up of a task force that would put in place the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority in 90 days, besides collecting initial data of the requirement.
