Negligence Not To Be Tolerated In Anti-polio Drive: Dr Yasmin

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2019 ) :Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has ordered to take strict action against the officers concerned if they showed any negligence during the forthcoming polio campaign.
She said 42,307 mobile teams were taking part in the upcoming polio campaign, which would start from April 22 and continue till 25.
She was presiding over a meeting at Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department. Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Saleh Saeed and EDO Lahore Agha Toheed as well as other officers concerned were also present.
A comprehensive awareness campaign had already started throughout Punjab including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad.
Strict instructions have been issued that no child under five years of age should be left without administering polio vaccine during this campaign.
She said complete training of vaccinators would be conducted before starting the polio campaign.
