New passenger train Rahman Baba Express will be launched on December 23 to facilitate the low income travelers traveling from Peshawar to Karachi
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :New passenger train Rahman Baba Express will be launched on December 23 to facilitate the low income travelers traveling from Peshawar to Karachi.
"On the directives of Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Rahman Baba (47 up/48 down) will leave from Peshawar railway station on Sunday at 10am," an official in the Ministry of Railways told APP.
He said the train will have 9 economic class coaches, brake van and one power plant to meet the needs of poor class who is traveling from Peshawar to Karachi.
Giving route details, he said the train after passing through various cities including Nowshera, Attock City, Rawalpindi, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rohri, Nawabshah, Hyderabad, Landhi and will reach Karachi Cantonment railway station the next day at 12:30pm.
He said Rahman Baba train will depart at 10am from Karachi and will reach Peshawar Cantonment railway station at 12:20pm the next day. "Passengers traveling on the first day on Rahman Baba train will be charged half the ticket," the official added.
He said all the tracks of Rehman Baba Express had almost been completed. Rahman Baba Express from Peshawar to Karachi has also been given a route of Multan in order to facilitate the people of South Punjab, he said.
He said Railways had already launched nine trains included Sindh Express, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Express, Lahore-Faisalabad Non Stop, Mianwali Railcar, Rawalpindi Express, Mohenjodaro Express, Rohi Express and Dhabeji Express which were receiving very good response from the travellers.
