New Polio Case Reported From Bannu: Figure Reached At 20

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2019 ) :National Institute of Health Thursday confirmed polio virus presence in one and half year old child in Bizan Khel area of district Bannu taking the figure of polio case to 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 20 across the country.

According to the health official, Wahidullah brought his one and half year old infant to hospital where his test was sent to NIH for laboratory test and found positive.

The uncle of the affected child told that his nephew didn't vaccination against the crippling disease until date.

The Health official said that during the year 2019 it was the 14th cases reported from KP province while as many as 20 cases were reported from across the country during first five months of the year.
