NH&MP Arranges 1.7m Briefings On Road Safety In 2018

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2019 ) ::National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) managed over 1.7 million briefings to educate peoples on road safety, during year 2018.
There are six wings of education in Motorways police working in Multan, and similarly, every shift of officials also continue to educate and inform citizens about traffic rules, and road safety for two hours on daily basis, informed Incharge Education wing NH&MP Gulzaar Hussain .
The briefings were given at schools, colleges, universities, hospitals and some other departments. Similarly, literature on road safety was also distributed among citizens on daily basis, he said while talking to APP here on Sunday.
About other performance of NH&MP, Gulzaar informed that Multan (N-5 Central) used to cover 262 kilometer National Highways and 54 kilometer Motorway.
Not even a single incident of dacoity or vehicle snatching occurred at N-5 Central during year 2018.
Gulzaar remarked that one incident of crime was foiled by the officials and another snatched-vehicle was also recovered by the police.
About accidents, Motorway police official stated that a total of 12 accidents were reported at N-5 Central in which 12 persons died.
However, another 20 persons sustained injuries in these accident.
During special search, the Motorway Police managed to arrest seven culprits, stated Gulzaar.
About Help assistance, Gulzaar informed that Motorway Police provided help to 64476 citizens, travelling at N-5 Central area.
