Nigerian academic delegation visits Government College University, Hyderabad

A Nigerian academic delegation on Thursday visited Government College University, Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Aug, 2024) A Nigerian academic delegation on Thursday visited Government College University, Hyderabad.

Member Sindh Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary Youth Affairs Saima Agha and others were also accompanied with the delegation

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Tayyaba Zarif welcomed the dignitaries and held a meeting with the heads of departments and officers in the Syndicate Hall.

The delegation included Dr. Ahmad Ali Sirohi, Rector KAAT University Ibrahim Giro, Mohamed El Hadi, Rector IPSP Sanda Maiga Abdlai and African Institute of Technology, Niamey representative Ibrahim Bin Maqsood.

The delegation said that Niger, a Muslim country in Africa with almost a Muslim population, has been under French rule like the North African country. France has kept us so backward that no medical college, technical college, agricultural college or university

They said that Pakistan was a beautiful country and the people are very friendly. We have a brotherly relationship with them.

They said that Nigeria desires to promote mutual cooperation between GC University Hyderabad and educational institutions of Niger, mutual exchange of teachers and students, joint research and bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both sides.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tayyeba Zarif said with welcoming words that according to the policy of the Government of Pakistan, we are ready to do all possible cooperation.

GC University Hyderabad announces 5 General Scholarships and 5 Girls Scholarships. We have qualified PhD scholars and we offer these for online education and joint research.

The Vice-Chancellor said that my country has always tried to cooperate with other countries. We will work hard in the field of education with the consent of the government.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem.

Later, an introductory meeting was held with the heads of departments and administrative officers, in which the possibilities of mutual cooperation were reviewed.
