No Compromise On Welfare Of Citizens In AJK: President AJK

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2018 ) , June 18 (APP)::AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has said that the welfare of people must always be our foremost priority and for this, we must forgo all our personal and political differences.

The AJK president made these remarks while talking to a Pakistan Muslim League (N) delegation headed by Ejaz Yousaf, President PML (N) Poonch Division who called on him today at Circuit House, Rawalakot on Monday.

The delegation also comprised of President PML (N) Constituency 4 Sardar Aashiq, President PML (N) Youth Wing Poonch Division Sardar Waseem Aashiq, Ms. Rehana President PML (N) Women WIng Constituency 4, Secretary sports PML (N) AJK Wajih-ul-Islam, Murtaza Sadiq and workers of PML (N) Youth Wing.

The delegation apprised the president AJK of various developmental projects taking place in the adjoining areas.

They also informed him of various issues faced by the locals relating to civic amenities and allied facilities.

The president informed the delegation that numerous development projects had been initiated throughout Poonch Division and priority was being given to laying down of a modern road network and associated link roads.

He said soon an expressway would be completed which would connect Rawalkot to Kahuta helping to make the journey safe and less time-consuming.

He said we would take along all stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of these projects.

President AJK also expressed his pride in the fact that prominent businessman Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, belonging to Rawalakot, has been selected by the caretaker Chief Minister Punjab as a Minister in the provincial caretaker setup.

During another briefing by Ansar Yaqoob, Deputy Commissioner Rawalakot, the president was apprised of numerous projects in the district and also informed of a water schemes being initiated for supplying water to Rawalakot from sources found at Singola and Ali Sojal.

The district administration while giving their presentation updated the president on projects related to various roads and link roads, sewerage schemes and other facilities.

The president advised the officials concerned to prioritize the welfare of the people and selflessly work on the timely completion of these projects. The president was also apprised of the progress on the under-construction District Complex at Rawalakot.

Later in the day, the President Azad Jammu and Kashmir also attended the funeral of Squadron Leader Shaukat Qayyum who had passed away in a car accident in Kahuta. The president while expressing his condolences with the family of the bereaved prayed that may the departed be blessed with an exalted position within Paradise.
