No flood situation in any river: FFC

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2017 ) : The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) Monday said there was no flood situation in the country and all major Rivers (Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi & Sutlej) were flowing normal.

According to daily FFC report on Monday, Tarbela and Mangla Reservoirs were at elevations of 1506.66 feet & 1210.30 feet respectively (43.34 feet & 31.70 feet below their respective maximum conservation levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet).

The Combined Live Storage of Tarbela, Mangla & Chashma Reservoirs is 8.

956 MAF as against the maximum storage capacity of 13.856 MAF. Weak Seasonal Low continues to prevail over Northern Balochistan.

Weak moist currents from Bay of Bengal continue to penetrate into upper parts of Pakistan upto 2000 feet. Mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. No significant rainfall event has been reported by FFD, Lahore during the past 24 hours except for Cherat=09 mm and Balakot=07 mm.
