PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2018 ) :Peshawar Electricity Power Company (PESCO) on Tuesday categorically contradicted the allegations regarding excessive load shedding in Peshawar and adjacent areas.
The company spokesman in a press release clarified that no unscheduled load shedding was carried out anywhere in Khyber PukhtunKhwa and Load shedding on a feeder was carried out according to the losses of that particular feeder.
He said loadshedding in areas like Tehkal, UniversityRoad, Jahangirabad, Gharibabad, ShaheenTown, MalakandDher, Palosi and other adjacent areas is according to AT & C losses and that ranges between 4 to 8 hours.
However due to BRT project Power supply lines are being shifted hence power is suspended twice a week, which is necessary for completion of BRT project. He said Pesco was striving its best to provide uninterruptable power supply to those areas where line losses are less, adding If people of high loss areas cooperate with Pesco and use only legal electricity they will also be benefited and relief in load shedding will also be given to them.
Pesco appeals to the public of the concerned areas to cooperate with Pesco till the completion of BRT Project.
