Notorious Gang Leader Ghaffar Zikri Killed In Police Operation

Karachi police here on Thursday confirmed killing of Ghaffar Zikri, one of the most notorious and wanted gangster belonging to Lyari.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Oct, 2018 ) :Karachi police here on Thursday confirmed killing of Ghaffar Zikri, one of the most notorious and wanted gangster belonging to Lyari.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Karachi South Police, Javed Aslam Odho said Zikri, with a head money of Rs. 3 million, was killed during a police operation in Ali Muhammad area of Lyari this morning.

"The ensuing crossfire, that continued for 90 minutes also resulted in killing of a son of the Lyari gang war leader and his accomplice Chota Zahid," the senior police officer told media personnel.

The exercise was said to be a search operation in the area during which the criminals also resorted to firing and attacking the lawenforcers with hand grenades causing injuries to some of the cops.
