One arrested in Urea bags scam: National Accountability Bureau (NAB)

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Thursday arrested Muhammad Waqas Ashraf in a corruption case for causing Rs5.57 million loss to national exchequer.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018 ) :National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Thursday arrested Muhammad Waqas Ashraf in a corruption case for causing Rs5.57 million loss to national exchequer.

He was declared Proclaimed Offender in reference No. 15/2017 (State Vs Ibrar Hussain, NFML case) by Accountability Court, Islamabad on February 20, 2018.

Muhammad Waqas Ashraf s/o Ashraf Irfan was store Incharge at Kasur Store of National Fertilizer Marketing Limited (NFML) and allegedly stamped 3120 Urea bags worth Rs5.57 million of M/s Trans Global without receiving Urea which caused loss to exchequer by misuse of his authority.

He deliberately kept himself concealed and did not join investigation proceedings.
