One Killed, Another Injured In Firing Over Personal Dispute

MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2025) A man was killed and another injured in a firing incident stemming from personal enmity in the Choiyaan area, within the jurisdiction of Darband Police Station here Saturday.

According to police sources, the clash broke out between two rival groups over a personal grudge, resulting in the death of Asif, son of Gul Wahid Shah and injuries to a man identified as Sajjad.

Initial investigations revealed that the deceased Asif had married a woman, which reportedly triggered the hostility. In retaliation, Shakir and his accomplices allegedly opened fire, leading to the fatal confrontation.

The police responded swiftly to the incident, arresting two suspects Gul Fareed and Hussain from the scene. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining accused, with raids being carried out in various locations.

Darband police reached the site immediately, brought the situation under control, and collected forensic evidence. Further legal proceedings are in progress.

The police have urged the public to avoid spreading rumors or unverified information and to cooperate fully with authorities to ensure peace and stability in the area.
