Grand operation has been started against shopkeepers involved in overcharging across the district

JHANG, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2019 ) :Grand operation has been started against shopkeepers involved in overcharging across the district.

During last two days, fine of Rs 38,500 was collected from the shopkeepers involved in profiteering while FIR was got registered against one shopkeeper on violation of price control act.

Deputy Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali stated that action against artificial price hike had been initiated to give relief to the citizens during Ramazan.

He directed Price Control Magistrates to speed up action against the shopkeepers and vendors involved in profiteering in order to control the prices of daily use items.

He warned the shopkeepers to sell commodities on fixed rates and display rate lists at conspicuous places in their shops.
