Opponents Of CPEC Living In Fool's Paradise: Dr Shireen

Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari on Monday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor was a project of national importance and the opponents of this project were living in fools' paradise.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari on Monday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor was a project of national importance and the opponents of this project were living in fools' paradise.
She said this in a ceremony held here on role of women in CPEC.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari, Deputy Chief of Mission Li Jan Zahoo, Chairman of China Institute Mushahid Hussain Sayed and representatives from civil society.
Dr Shireen Mazari said that CPEC was great opportunity for not only men but women to enhance their role by participating in economic development of the country.
She said that women could grab opportunities from the mega project specially from the nine Special Economic Zones under the CPEC to be constructed soon in all four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and FATA, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In the projects under CPEC, she said international standard would be applied and labour conditions would be improved, which would further facilitate women.
"If CPEC is supposed to introduce technical and vocational training for women then it will be real game changer", she added.
Shireen Mazari said that CPEC should add more development projects for the betterment of women labour force to bring them in main streamline. She said that the Chinese grand "One Road, One Belt" initiative a long-term project so other countries should also come here to make it more wider.
Li Jian Zahan, Deputy Chief of the Mission said that CPEC was actually a cultural connectivity between both countries, in CPEC�women of Pakistan were getting equal rights with equal representation.
He said that how shifting of economies affecting women role, as our aim was to empower them and to enhance their role more.
He said that women holds half of the sky as it was big influx of the investment and huge chance for women.
He said that this was positive point to see Pakistani women were on key posts in most of the companies.
Mushahid Hussain Sayed said that women role in society was very crucial and their participation would bring positive change in CPEC.
