Opposition Parties Targeting NAB: Parliamentary Secretary For Railways MNA Farrukh Habib

Parliamentary Secretary for Railways MNA Farrukh Habib on Wednesday said that opposition was targeting National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and if it was not involved in corruption than why it was so frightened.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Dec, 2018 ) :Parliamentary Secretary for Railways MNA Farrukh Habib on Wednesday said that opposition was targeting National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and if it was not involved in corruption than why it was so frightened.

Talking to media outside Parliament House, he said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution, adding that how opposition parties Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) claim of nexus between PTI and NAB when PTI sitting Ministers were facing inquiries.

He said that similarly NAB has initiated inquiries against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Former Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Khawja Saad Rafique and Khwaja Salman Rafique.

He said that a case against former Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also surfaced.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) completed their five years government terms in last ten years if there was an issue in NAB laws than why they did not bring legislation.

He said that accountability process have to go forward. He said that masses have elected PTI for five years tenure and government will complete its term. He said that there is not threat to government due to accountabilityprocess.

Talking about Public Account Committee (PAC) chairmanship, he said that it was decided in principle to not appoint Opposition Leader as he was facing corruption cases.
