Over 1983000 Children To Be Vaccinated In Anti-measles Campaign In GB: Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafizur Rehman

Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafizur Rehman said Thursday like other parts of the country, a 12-day anti-measles campaign was being launched to vaccinate about 198373 children aged between five nine months to five years from Monday (Oct 15).
GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Oct, 2018 ) :Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafizur Rehman said Thursday like other parts of the country, a 12-day anti-measles campaign was being launched to vaccinate about 198373 children aged between five nine months to five years from Monday (Oct 15).
Chairing a meeting, he added several trained teams including 142 fixed, 200 out-reach and 10 mobile teams would vaccinate the target children during the drive which could continue upto Oct 27.
He said that entire program would be minutely monitored; surprised by 152 officials to ensure that child of the target population was get vaccinated against the deadly disease.
Moreover, he added those representatives of the UNICEF and WHO would also be monitoring the drive which would continue throughout a week except Sunday.
He said it was not door to door campaign, rather temporary centers had been set up at prominent places like school, mosque, health center or anyhouse of a village to vaccinate children.
