Over 3500 cops perform duties in Bahawalpur on Ashura

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2018 ) :More than 3,500 policemen are performing duties on Friday in Bahawalpur district to provide security cover to 112 processions and 33 majalis.

According to District Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr Muhammad Iqbal, strict security measures have been taken to ensure foolproof security of processions and majalis.

Rangers and Elite Force are assisting police in securing sensitive places.

All the majalis and processions are being monitored through CCTV cameras from Control Room. DSP Traffic has chalked out a traffic plan for smooth traffic flow in the city.
