Overcome your fears to become good leader: MD PBM

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2016 ) : Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh on Tuesday said it was imperative to overcome your fears for becoming a good leader.

"By far, the biggest obstacle to taking action is your fears. These may be fears that you are aware of, but quite often it is fears that you may not even be consciously aware of," he said Addressing the oath taking ceremony of Student Council Election 2016-17 of Roots International School, H-8/4 he said, five qualities were essential to become a good leader including vision and focus, readiness to work hard, networking and influence, trust and a thirst for knowledge.

He advised students to start building a good character in light of the principles of islam, obeying Almighty Allah and his beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Quoting golden words of Qauid-e-Azam, which he delivered in his address to students in 1948, he said: "Develop a sound sense of discipline, Character, Initiative and a solid Academic Background.

You must devote yourself whole-heartedly to your studies, for that is your first obligation to yourselves, your parents and to the State.

You must learn to obey for only then you can learn to command." He advised the students that it was also the prime responsibility to help those, who need attention as Pakistan is an underdeveloped country with many people were living a life below the poverty line.

Poverty is affecting the economy rate of Pakistan, adding, "Poverty means lack of fundamental rights including food, shelter, health facilities education, unemployment, etc". It is time for young blood with dynamic approach to fight these hindrances and render helping hand to those caught in the clutches of poverty to fight with dignity and work dedicatedly not only for themselves but also for their fellow beings.

"I am taking this mission since my student life and now invite all of you to realize the collective responsibility to serve the poor country fellows and be a volunteer member of my team", MD Bait ul Mal said. The event was attended by Executive Director Roots International School System, Sara Waleed, faculty members of the school, academicians and large number of students.
