Overweigt SHOs Warned To Lose Weight Within Month

The overweight Station House Officers (SHOs) posted at police stations of Capital Territory Police, Islamabad have been warned to reduce their weight and minimize waist up to 38 inches within one month and keep themselves physical fit as per Police Rules
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2017 ) :The overweight Station House Officers (SHOs) posted at police stations of Capital Territory Police, Islamabad have been warned to reduce their weight and minimize waist up to 38 inches within one month and keep themselves physical fit as per Police Rules."It has been observed with great concern that the police officers particularly posted as Station House Officers (SHOs) in various police stations of the Capital Police are overweight having waist more than 40 inches.
They are not physically fit for the police department and do not pay attention towards their physical fitness and turnout which is mandatory for the disciplined force like police," said a notification issued by the Office of Inspector General Police, Islamabad.
It added that departmental action shall be initiated against the SHOs who will not reduce their extra weight and waiste and fail to achieve desired physical fitness.
Besides, the notification added that the Moharrirs and Station Clerks posted at police stations are possessing only middle or matriculate education certificates and their attitude with the public visiting the police station has been noted to below expected standards, which gives a negative message to the public.
High-ups have taken a very serious notice and emphasized for the physical fitness of officers and posting of well education officials as Moharrirs and station clerk in all police stations of ICT police.
Moreover, the SSP and Operations and Zonal SPs are requested to replace the Moharrirs and stations clerks with well educated officials having minimum education BA/BSc. Compliance report in this regard may also be furnished to this office for perusal of the IGP.
