PA Panel To Conduct Impartial Inquiry Into UoP Incident

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Sultan Mohammad Khan Wednesday said that the parliamentary committee constituted by the provincial government for probing into University of Peshawar (UoP) incident would conduct impartial investigation into the matter and present recommendations to chief minister soon.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Oct, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Sultan Mohammad Khan Wednesday said that the parliamentary committee constituted by the provincial government for probing into University of Peshawar (UoP) incident would conduct impartial investigation into the matter and present recommendations to chief minister soon.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the parliamentary committee. Other members including Nighat Yasmin Orakzai, Mahmood Khan Bettani (JUI-F), Sardar Hussain Babak (ANP), Khaleeq-ur-Rehman (PTI), Arif Ahmadzai (PTI) and Secretary Higher Education also attended the meeting.
A delegation of the students' united front also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the parliamentary committee assured the students delegation that the panel will hear the stance of all parties and will resolve the genuine demands of the students.
The chairman of the parliamentary panel further said that the committee will present its recommendations to chief minister on daily basis and will resolve it within a period of 15 days.
The minister for law and parliamentary affairs told the students that the government has constituted the committee for the resolution of the issue. Therefore, they should also remain peaceful and end their protest.
He stressed on the students to concentrate on their education and also persuade their other colleagues for remaining peaceful in the university.
Earlier, the delegation briefed the parliamentary committee regarding their problems and also presented their stance. The students also announced ending their protest sit-in to remain peaceful.
