PAC Enquiry Committee Seeks Report On Audit Objections Of

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : The Enquiry Committee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Friday formed a departmental committee to look into two audit objections pertaining to the Ministry of Housing and Works and sought report within 15 days. The meeting of the Enquiry Committee of PAC's Sub-Committee was held under the chair of Mian Abdul Manan MNA and discussed the matters pertaining to the reported overpayment of Rs 4.81 million due to fake measurements and "Musa Khel-Taunsa Road Project".

During the meeting, the committee expressed reservations over the inclusion of the officials in the committee which were unavailable. Talking to media after the meeting, Mian Manaan said the people did join politics to have respect but it transpired that the situation was different. He put up a challenge to carry out accountability of his and Sheikh Rasheed's assets. He also challenged Imran Khan to resign and contest the election against him.
