Pak Postal Department Issued Five Stamps In First Seven Months

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : Pakistan Postal Department (PPD) issued five stamps in first seven month of the year from to commemorate special occasions or pay tribute to service of national heros. The first stamp was issued on February 10 on completion of 50 years of safe operation of first Nuclear Research Reactor in Pakistan (PINSTECH).
The PINSTECH Islamabad was established in 1965 which had completed its 50 years in 2015. The domination of the stamp was Rs. 50. The second stamp was issued on March 22 on Water Conservation by WAPDA with a public service message written on the stamp, "Help WAPDA serve Pakistan conserve water", an official of PPD told APP adding, the domination of the stamp was Rs.
8. The third stamp issued on April 22, in connection with National Book Day. The stamp has a message "Books Leads to Peace" and the domination of the stamp was Rs.
8. The forth stamp was issued to pay tribute the services of Dewan Bahadur S.P Singha.
He was an important personality in the History of Pakistan. The domination of the stamp was Rs. 10. The last stamp issued so far during the current year is to mark the establishment of 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, on May 21.
The domination of the stamp was Rs. 8. Pakistan Postal Department would issue two to three stamps on August 14, the official said. "Two stamps are finalized to mark the independence day while decision on third stamp is still pending", he informed adding, one stamp would be issued to pay tribute to the services of Abdul Sattar Edhi while the second stamp would be in celebration of 70 years of Pakistan's Independence.
