Mirpur,AJK , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2018 ) :Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir State are inseparable and no power on earth can sever their ties as their hearts throb together", said AJK President Sardar Masood Khan here Monday.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the "Bagh Spring Festival" held at the Sardar Muhammad Hussain Khan Dharay Stadium in District Bagh, the President said that the people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir along with their brothers and sisters in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) are united in their struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris.
Contrasting Azad Kashmir with IOK, Masood Khan said that this territory was free whereas our brothers and sisters on the other side have been kept in bondage and captivity by the Indian occupation forces for the past 70 years.
The helpless Kashmiris are being mercilessly killed, injured, maimed, tortured and dishonored every day. Women are being raped and the Hindu extremists in their frenzy to mete out collective punishment to the Kashmiris haven't even spared the innocent eight-year-old Asifa Bano, he added.
The President warned that the Indian operatives and agencies were targeting through their proxies the areas of Azad Kashmir which had driven away the Dogra forces in 1947. Their purpose is to punish our populations for liberating this part of the territory and for raising the voice of Kashmiris and bolstering their aspirations for freedom and accession to Pakistan.
These dark forces, he said, want to create confusion, discord and disunity. Masood Khan said that as Indian designs in IOK have been frustrated, their conspiracies in AJK and Pakistan would also be neutralized.
The writing on the wall, he said, is that India had lost all justification for its presence on IOK because of its brutalization of Kashmiri Muslims. "India finds Pakistan, Azad Kashmir and Pakistan/Kashmiri diaspora community united in the quest for freedom of the Kashmiris in IOK,"he said.
He paid rich tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, for protecting AJK particularly the Line of Control and laying down their lives. He added that civilians living along the LOC on the AJK side were heroes who have been giving sacrifices everyday for the defence of their motherland.
The Spring Festival included, horse riding, exhibition of animals, brass bands, sporting events and book stalls. More than a hundred stalls included local artifacts, exhibits and products reflecting progress and innovation in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, forest conservation and traditional textile and woolen clothing.
The Spring Festival was jointly organized by Bagh's Civil Administration and the 6 Azad Kashmir (AK) Brigade. Commissioner Poonch Division Abdul Hameed Mughal, Commander 6 AK Brigadier Amjad Iqbal and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Waheed Khan were also present at the ceremony. APP/ahr/tmg
