Pakistan Enjoys Unique Status With Regards To Mountains: Zeeshan Naqvi

The Deputy Mayor Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Zeeshan Naqvi Tuesday said Pakistan enjoys unique status with regards to mountains as it has one of the most scenic and highest mountains of the world.
Speaking at the occasion of 'International Mountains Day' and a hiking activity in this connection organized by Capital Development Authority (CDA) and MCI Tourism Division, the deputy mayor said the Margalla hills add more to the beauty of the Federal capital whereas we take measures to maintain and keep the national park clean.
He said mountains have deep impacts over human life as the snow falling on its upper reaches becomes a major source of water whereas it has been an ancient dwelling of humans, birds and animals and a source of food.
The students from CDA model schools and various universities participated in the mountain climbing activity to mark the day and develop basic awareness with this year's theme 'Mountain Matters' realizing the importance and efficacy of mountains in the world.
