Pakistan Happier Than All Its Neighboring Countries: Report

LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 21st March, 2019) Pakistan has jumped at 67th place from 75th in World Happiness Index and hence is among the top 20 countries who improved their ratings.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network issues the index every year. The annual World Happiness Report develops a ranking of 156 countries on the basis of income per capita, life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity, and corruption.
The index shows that Pakistan made a jump at 67th position from the previous year’s 75th.
It is among the 20 top countries along with Philippines, and countries from Europe, Africa, and Latin America which improved their index. The 20 losers include India and countries from the middle East, Africa, Western Europe, Malaysia, Venezuela, and Ukraine.
Pakistan ranks highest among all of its neighbors in the index. The list shows India ranks at 140 — seven spots lower than last year, China 93, Iran 117, Iraq at 126 and Afghanistan at 154.
