Pakistan Lauds Iran's TAVANIR For Uninterrupted Power Supply To Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 14th March, 2019) An Iranian Delegation led by Managing Director Tavanir Muhammad Hassan Motevallizadeh met Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.During the meeting, matters relating to electricity import from Iran were discussed.Secretary Power Division, Mr.
Irfan Ali and other senior officials of Ministry of Commerce, Finance, NTDC and CPPA also participated in the meeting.While extending welcome to the delegation Mr. Omar Ayub Khan said that Government of Pakistan values its relations with the Government of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Both countries shared common approach toward number of bilateral and regional issues.He said that currently Pakistan is importing 104MW power from Iran, the tariff for which was expired in December, 2016, He appreciated TANANIR for supplying uninterrupted power supply to Pakistan.

Irfan Ali while welcoming the delegation, expressed the confidence that existing cooperation between the two countries will further boost in the field of electricity.During the meeting matters relating to electricity import from Iran were discussed.The Managing Director TAVANIR thanked Pakistani side for extending warm welcome.
