
Pakistan Made Painstaking Efforts To Overcome Terrorism: Ayaz Sadiq

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) : Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Thursday said Pakistan has been a big victim of terrorism and has overcome this menace with painstaking efforts. He was addressing the concluding session of first Saarc Young Parliamentary Conference, said a press release issued here. It was the mandate of members parliament to choose options of war or negotiations to resolve the issue of terrorism, he added. He underlined that the representation of women should be increased in exchange of delegations between Saarc member countries to promote their participation in politics. Ayaz condemned the incidents of terrorism in Paris and Brussels and said that collective efforts were needed to eliminate terrorism. He said the youth should take part in politics with zeal and zest as they had powers to take any decision.
He said the foreign delegations should visit the various universities to maintain contacts with youth. To overcome the negative impression given by European Media about Pakistan, he invited the speakers of all Saarc countries to visit Pakistan to observe the ground realities. The Speaker also appreciated the arrangements of current moot. Meanwhile, the heads of participating delegations endorsed the Islamabad Declaration of the conference and said that they were returning to their respective countries with a positive thinking about Pakistan. Convener of the conference, Malik Aziz Khan presented the Declaration of Conference and suggested to make Saarc Young Parliamentary Forum a proper institution.
