Pakistan Post would install alternate energy devices in all General Post Offices (GPOs) across the country
ISLAMABAD(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Feb, 2018 ) :Pakistan Post would install alternate energy devices in all General Post Offices (GPOs) across the country. Federal Minister for Postal Services Moluana Ameer Zaman Bukhari told APP that 10 KVA Solar System has been installed in Rawalpindi GPO with the cooperation of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) with an amount of Rs.
2500,000. He said that the estimated cost is Rs.205 million for installation of solar system at the remaining 82 GPOs. He said that the installation of alternate energy devices would improve the overall performances of the General Post Offices.
The minister said that with the changing communications market, Pakistan Post is emphasizing in the use of new communication and information technologies to move beyond what is traditionally regarded as its core postal business. He said that Pakistan post is committed to make secure and timely delivery of mail, money and material at the doorsteps of the customers at affordable cost.
