A nominated candidate of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from NA-125 Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Wednesday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and interim government has an integral role to thwart polls rigging to ensure conducting of free, fair and transparent election.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jul, 2018 ) :A nominated candidate of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from NA-125 Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Wednesday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and interim government has an integral role to thwart polls rigging to ensure conducting of free, fair and transparent election.
"ECP must stand affirm on this issue and should be vigilant about the code of conduct violations by the contestants for taking immediate action. Only genuine politicians and true public representatives should come into the parliament, she added." She said, it will only possible when people will cast their vote in favour of those political parties and candidates who really want to do something for the progress of the country.
Yasmeen said that now people want change and expecting from the upcoming government to bring real change by initiating projects of public welfare to uplift the society.
She said that PTI has strong election manifesto which address all outstanding issues of the people, adding said that people have widely hailed the party manifesto and assuring their support for PTI.
She said that past governments did nothing for the welfare of the people and they just misled them through hollow slogans just to divert their attention.
She said that there were several flaws in education and health policies of past tenures due to their lack of interest in these areas. She added now the people are conscious about their basic rights and fully aware about the tactics of such politicians who did nothing for them in past and now again requesting them for votes.
She expressed the hope that PTI will win the upcoming elections as people have decided to cast their vote in favour of only those candidates who are enjoying good reputation in public.
