Pakistani Bride's Attire Imperfect Without Addition Of 'Bangels' In Jewellery : Report

With wedding season continues, the traditional multi-colored bangles' (Chori) made of glass, gold or other metals are still an integral part of Pakistani Bride's wedding jewelleries since prehistoric times' Any bridal wear in Pakistan wedding is said to be incomplete without the presence of high quality jewellery.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Dec, 2018 ) :With wedding season continues, the traditional multi-colored bangles' (Chori) made of glass, gold or other metals are still an integral part of Pakistani Bride's wedding jewelleries since prehistoric times' Any bridal wear in Pakistan wedding is said to be incomplete without the presence of high quality jewellery. In case of Punjabi weddings, some of the most common pieces of jewellery worn by a girl on the day of her wedding include maang tika, Jhumka,nose ring and colorful Bengals, a report aired by a private news channel revealed.
A bride is adorned to look her absolute best on her wedding day and Jewelry particularly Bengals holds great importance and has certain significance and traditions attached to it, said a 23 year old Girl. Hamna Ubaid a fashion Designer said, gone are the days when brides wore shimmering glass bangles, adding, the stone embellished bangles are also in fashion for the brides-to-be.
She said , If you notice, thin metal bangles have replaced the delicate glass bangles in between the karrhas, and they certainly enhance the prettiness of red and green karrhas.
Bangles look beautiful on the delicate wrists of Pakistani brides, said a mother Naheed Kamran.
A retailer in Multan said, bangles are available in a variety of colors, materials and sizes across Pakistan.
They are worn by females of all ages specially newly weds brides on special occasions like Eid, weddings and other festivals.
Since ages bangles are a basic part of Wedding ceremonies, adding, the bangles made from gold, copper, silver, shell, agate, bronze, chalcedony, etc have also indicates that women love decorating their arms and wrists with ornaments since a long time, said another shopkeeper.
Bangles are perhaps the most loved and versatile jewelry piece that a Bride continues to wear even after marriage. Bangles are associated with romance and passion said Zainab Qayumm a MBA student.
Bridal jewellery worn during weddings has undergone significant changes along with change in people's tastes and preferences but Bengals always a important part of jewellery for Brides in country, said Waqar Hasaan a wholesale shopkeeper in Faisalabad.
Chori are more than just a stunning ornament, they are a reflection of blessings and good wishes that she carries from her loved ones, said a 45 year old Syeda Naseem.
Bangles are decorative ornaments that women in Pakistan have been wearing for not years, but centuries, Sumera Mehmood said , It can be said that history is mainly responsible for glorifying bangles and making it the epitome of feminine grace on a woman's body.
Moreover, bangles have a great traditional value as it is considered inauspicious for Pakistani women to be bare armed. This is why they are always wearing some bangles of varied Pakistani bangle designs on their wrists at all times, Sadia Shoaib said.
The tradition of bangles in Pakistan has given rise to a lot of designs, styles, and colors, she added.
