Pakistan's Kashmir Committee delegation meets AJK PM

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Nov, 2024) A high-power delegation of the Kashmir Committee of Pakistan, led by Chairman of the Committee Rana Qasim Noon, called on Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Ul Haq in the state capital city on Thursday and discussed the Kashmir issue, reaffirming Pakistan's moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just and principled struggle for the right to self-determination.

Speaking on this occasion, AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Ul Haq emphasized that Jammu Martyrs Day observed on November 6, 1947, marked one of the worst massacres in human history, where millions of Muslims were forced to migrate from Jammu to Pakistan.

He highlighted Pakistan's unwavering commitment to Kashmir, citing the region's strategic importance and potential to generate 10,000 megawatts of electricity. Chairman Rana Qasim Noon stressed that Kashmir is Pakistan's national cause and inseparable from its identity.

He criticized the international community's silence on human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and Palestine, revealing a double standard. Other attendees included Kashmir Committee members Dr.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Fathullah Khan, Wajihiha Qamar, and Syed Javed Ali Shah Jilani.

Chairman Rana Qasim Noon stated on this occasion that Pakistan was incomplete without Kashmir, and the Kashmir problem is Pakistan's national cause. He noted that Pakistan's relations with India are suspended after August 5, 2019, and that Kashmir is crucial for Pakistan in every way.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, while participating in the discussion, affirmed that the government of Pakistan stands with the cause of Kashmir, acknowledging weaknesses and India's attempts to change Occupied Kashmir's demography. Syed Javed Ali Shah pledged to work with the Azad Jammu Kashmir government, while Fathullah Khan emphasized that Pakistan remains incomplete until all of Kashmir is freed.

Wajiha Qamar highlighted Kashmir's importance in Pakistan's foreign policy and her desire to promote Kashmir's culture and heritage for UNESCO recognition.

Senior Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir Colonel Retired Waqar Ahmad Noor, Government Ministers Abdul Majid Khan, Mian Abdul Waheed and other officials were also present.
