Pakistan's Progress Linked With That Of Balochistan: Firdous

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jan, 2020 ) :Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Wednesday said Pakistan's progress was linked with that of Balochistan and that was why the Federal government was paying special attention to the development of the province.
Talking to the media at the Quetta Airport, she said she had come to the province on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan to help the people affected by recent heavy snowfall and rains.
Expressing grief over the loss of precious lives in the rains and snow related incidents in Balochistan, she said the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) was extending its support to the provincial government in its efforts to rescue the affected people.
Firdous said the federal government stood with the people and the government of Balochistan in the time of trial. On the prime minister's directives, the NDMA chairman had also announced a compensation package for those who lost their lives while a comprehensive rehabilitation plan would be evolved after completion of damages estimation with the consultation of provincial government and other stakeholders, she added.
