Parliamentary Body To Decide Action Against FBR Corrupt Officials

Over Rs450 million's tax evasion has allegedly been surfaced in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), credible sources said on Tuesday
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th March, 2019) Over Rs450 million's tax evasion has allegedly been surfaced in Federal board of Revenue (FBR), credible sources said on Tuesday.The sources maintained that FBR officials and tax commissioner Islamabad were allegedly involved in facilitating seven private companies in tax evasion.The companies were allegedly given millions of rupees tax relaxation.
The FBR management gave over Rs260 million tax relaxations to private companies.The report sent to Parliamentary committee stats that Foundation Power Company was given Rs12 million tax relaxations.
However, no action could be taken so far despite evidence of the involvement of FBR officials and many private companies.
Furthermore, Pallor Power Generation Company has been found involved in tax evasion of Rs1.52 million while TNB Liberty Power Generation Company more than Rs76 million, Saba Power Company Rs21 million and Uch Power Private Limited over Rs27million have been found involved in tax evasion.Strict action is being planned against the persons involved in tax evasion.
The sources said that the private companies casted as many as Rs450 million to the national exchequer in term of tax evasion.The decision regarding action against the FBR involved officials will be taken in the Parliamentary meeting.
