Patient Dies Of Congo Virus

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : Another patient died of Congo virus at Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital Quetta and death toll of patients died of Congo virus had reached 10.
The doctors of the hospital confirmed on Friday that a patient suffering from Congo virus was brought from Loralai to Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital Quetta who remained under treatment. "The patient identified as Rahmatullah was brought from Loralai to Quetta after he was suffering from bleeding from nose and mouth," doctors said, adding that he was given medical treatment, but, he died of deadly deceased due to high bleeding.
"Around 85 patients suffering from bleeding from nose and mouth were brought to Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital this year and out of them 23 were tested positive," said Dr.
Mukhtar, adding that 10 of 23 patients suffering form Congo virus had died.
He further said that 60 percent patients were brought from Afghanistan to Fatima Jinnah Chest and TB Hospital and remaining 40 percent belonged to different areas of Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob and Loralai.
He said that the hospital dispatched blood samples of the patients to Aga Khan Hospital Laboratory Karachi for diagnose. Meanwhile, the Balochistan government said that its Livestock Department had been continuing fumigation at cattle markets set up ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
