PC-1 for two safety embankments submitted for approval

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -31st Augst,2016) : The PC-1 for construction of two safety flood embankments along River Chenab with estimated cost of about Rs 1.56 billion has been submitted to competent authorities by Shujabad canal division of Irrigation department.

According to official sources here Wednesday, the said canal division proposed two safety embankments in Mouza Shahpur, Bait Katch, and Khan Bela-Shujaatpur which would be constructed with Rs 1.5 billion and Fazil Shah flood bund with Rs 65 million. The PC-1 has been sent to Secretary Irrigation Punjab for approval. The local parlimentarins had also recommended both schemes for best public interest and save the people from flood damages, sources concluded.
