PCG foil smuggling operations in Balochistan, Karachi

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) successfully thwarted multiple smuggling attempts during operations at check posts in Balochistan and Karachi.

According to spokesman for PCG on Tuesday, acting on intelligence reports, PCG teams seized 21,085 kg of betel nuts, 2,922 kg of Iranian cloth, 1,300 sticks of cigarettes, 75 bags of China salt, 100 packets of Indian Gutka, and 42 tires from coaches traveling from Quetta to Karachi.

Additionally, 21,930 liters of smuggled diesel were recovered from trucks at Uthal, Balochistan, and Karachi Super Highway check posts. Legal proceedings are ongoing.
