PCSW Establishes Helpline Against Cyber Harassment

The complaints against online harassment can be registered by dialing 1043.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd November, 2018) The Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) has established a helpline for women to register complaints against harassment.
According to details, complaints of cyber harassment can be registered on the helpline established by the PCSW.
The complaints against online harassment can be registered by dialing 1043.
Following the complaints, an action will be taken against the accused of harassment on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram.
The PCSW said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to take immediate action against people harassing women on social media, including breaching their privacy and making fake accounts in their name.
Moreover, the accused of cyber harassment will be awarded six-month imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 5 lac.
