PDA Condemns Harassment Of DHQ Battagram Staff By DCO

PESHAWAR, Jan 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Jan, 2017 ) : Young Doctors' Association (PDA) on Friday strongly condemned harassment and insult of doctors and other staff of District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Battagram by District Coordination Staff (DCO).
PDA provincial spokesman Dr Salim Khan Yousafzai told media here that DCO Battagram in the name of visit to DHQ hospital reportedly insulted the doctors, paramedic and other technical staff, adding that the DCO was a junior officer and his appointment on the post was not right.
He said that such behavior with the doctors and other staff was intolerable and demanded immediate transfer of the DCO and apology from the DHQ staff.
The PDA said that the KP government has already set up monitoring units and department of health also moniter the health services of hospitals for check and balance, adding that the DCO was totally irrelevant to visit the DHQ.
He urged the Chief Minister, Health Minister and Secretary Health to take notice of the harassment of DHQ Battagram staff by the DCO and take strict action against him. He warned that PDA would stage protest across the province if action would not be initiated. APP/adi/rn
