Pentagon Aware Of Ground Realities: Shah Mahmood Qureshi

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday said the statement of Pentagon spokesperson regarding the U.S President Donald Trump tweet about Pakistan clarified that Pentagon was aware of the ground realities.
Talking to a private television channel, he said, Pentagon's spokesperson statement that the U.S acknowledged the sacrifices by Pakistan in war on terror was realization of Pakistan's sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said that the huge men and material losses Pakistan had suffered in the war against terrorism was not secret from anyone.
Qureshi said that the U.S. in the past, the U.S had been acknowledged the role and importance of Pakistan in the war against terrorism, adding that Pakistan's role for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan was very important.
The Foreign Minister said that besides the U.
S a lot of other countries' forces were part of the Afghan war.
About tweets of the U.S President Donald Trump, he said, the U.S President had his own temperament.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa also responded over the US tirade against Pakistan.
The Army Chief has highlighted Pakistan's efforts in the war against terrorism and for regional peace, saying the country "has done much more for peace in Afghanistan than any other country".
The statement comes a day after US President�Donald Trump�'s continued tirade against Pakistan and its strong rebuttal by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
