People Advised To Slaughter Animals In Daytime To Avoid Congo

District Livestock Department (LSD) Dr Shahid Sajjad Wednesday urged the citizens to slaughter the animals in daytime to avoid Congo fever on the occasion of forthcoming Eid Ul Adha .
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Aug, 2018 ) :District Livestock Department (LSD) Dr Shahid Sajjad Wednesday urged the citizens to slaughter the animals in daytime to avoid Congo fever on the occasion of forthcoming Eid Ul Adha .
Talking to media the Director LSD said that teams comprising of doctors have been appointed at the animal markets in the district while check-posts have also been set up at entry points of the city for spraying sacrificial animals to avoid spread of Congo virus.
He advised the citizens to wear gloves and use masks while going to the animal markets.
Congo Crimean Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is a lethal disease caused by Congo virus which is present in a tick, present in animals.
