People Demand Action Against Beggars

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Presence of a large number of beggars in the city is creating problems for people especially commuters. People said that beggars including women carrying infants and middle-aged men showing physical disabilities are a common sight in all parts of the city.
They said that most of the beggars are fraudsters, who at times also indulge in other illegal practices including thefts and pick-pocketing etc. People have demanded an immediate action by the authorities concerned against beggars.
A police official said that stern action would be taken against professional beggars. Child Protection Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Director General Fatima Sheikh told APP that a crackdown would be launched on beggars, in collaboration with the divisional administration soon.
